Cathy R. Moore, Esq., of Counsel
Ms. Moore concentrates on patent prosecution, particularly domestic prosecution of chemical patents. Ms. Moore also provides counseling on a wide range of intellectual property issues, including patent infringement and validity. Ms. Moore has counseled clients engaged in a variety of technologies, including polymeric films, textile fibers and non-wovens, pulp and paper, food additives and various chemical processes.
Ms. Moore received her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina in 1998. Ms. Moore received both a Master of Science in Textile Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University, where she was a member of the Tau Beta Pi honor fraternity.
Prior to joining ProPat, Ms. Moore was an Associate at Alston & Bird, L.L.P. for the first five years of her practice Prior to entering law school, Ms. Moore was a Research Engineer with Hoechst Diafoil Corporation. Prior to obtaining her graduate degree, Ms. Moore was employed with Coats & Clark’s Specialty Division.
Ms. Moore is admitted to practice in North Carolina and South Carolina. Ms. Moore is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
